NOTES FROM JASON
We’re back after a short break. Randy’s under the weather this week, so this’ll be the only page. Hopefully we’ll be up and running again next week. For now, we’re continuing on with the conference’s conclusion. Logan’s dropped quite the bombshell, though it doesn’t seem to have gone over as well as hoped. Or perhaps it went exactly as hoped. I have a feeling Logan knows what he’s doing. At least I hope so. While it’s certainly interesting to see him come into his own, breaking free of the stranglehold of Towser, it’s also making it clear to everyone around that he’s no longer a team player. In a society like this one, where the individual is considered a terrorist, Logan seems to be putting a target on his back. As we see in those last panels, there will be a response. What that is we’ll have to wait and see, but here’s hoping Logan is savvy enough to have a plan when the worst comes. And it certainly seems like it will.
We also get a second reference to someone known as Subject One, the first being earlier in the chapter, again with Towser and Carnelius. Who is that? Well, I have a feeling we’ll be finding out sooner rather than later, so stay tuned for that. And it’s also a safe bet that Derek Carnelius, who last we saw murdering the Fortescues, might also be showing up again soon. Good news for Penny, as she won’t have to travel far to find him. But considering her condition now, that might be the only bit of good news for her and the others.
This is a shorter post than normal for me, but I’ve covered everything I wanted to commentate about this scene in earlier pages. Next week we’ll be changing scenes, see what some of our other characters are up to. See you then.
